‘Bach – Two Part Inventions I-VIII’ is the first of two albums with performances and recordings of Bach’s Two Part Inventions.

This album is comprised of inventions I to VIII, the Gigue from Keyboard Partita No.1, and the Capriccio from Keyboard Partita no.2.

As bonus tracks in the videos, you will find some piano compositions by my composer friend Carlos Sanchez. He wrote many pieces specially for me back in piano university days, and it was just after almost 20 years that I could finally sit down and record them.

~ Locked indoors in a rented room in London during the 2020 pandemic, I decided to cancel my Netflix subscription and rediscovered Bach’s music. 

These recordings of Bach’s music are a homage to my younger years- those studying under my maestro Lucia Thome de Guisasola, and all the fond memories of those days.

It is also dedicated to my friend Osvaldo de La Iglesia, guitarist from the ‘Yes’ tribute band ‘Yes Spirit’ that passed away in May 2020.

I also decided to document the recording of these albums on my Youtube video, as to leave testament of the effort invested in learning and playing these pieces.

You will also find some bonus recordings of pieces by my composer friend Carlos Sanchez. He wrote them for me more than 20 years ago when we were back in music university, but it was only by the time I recorded this album that I had the chance to give them proper recognition.
